Mysore Dasara Gold card 2023:
2023 Mysuru Dasara will begin at 9:00 am on Sunday, 15 October and ends on Tuesday, 24th October.
The Gold Card, printed and sold by the Mysore Dasara Festival Committee, offers exclusive benefits to tourists. Approximately 2000 cards are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. With the Gold Card, tourists gain VIP entry to Mysore Palace for witnessing the Jamboo Savari in front of the palace and also enjoy the Torchlight Parade at Bannimantap on the same evening. Additionally, Gold Card holders have access to all major tourist attractions in Mysore from 15th to 24th October 2023.
The key advantage of holding a Gold Card is that it eliminates the need to purchase separate tickets and stand in long queues. In summary, this card provides convenient access to most attractions, making it a valuable asset for time-pressed tourists.
Last year, the Gold Card was priced at Rs. 4999/- per person. Cardholders can witness two major events during this world-famous festival:
- Dasara Procession (Jumboo Savaari): Held in the morning around 11:00 am on 24th October 2022, in front of the Maharaja Palace.
- Torchlight Parade: Taking place in the evening from 18:30 hrs to 22:00 hrs, or during the previous day’s rehearsal.
